The Noticing Practice
A practice in noticing what you love and what it reveals about you.
Most of us were never taught to look at ourselves the way we look at something we love. Maybe we notice the quality of light through a window, or the way a particular colour settles in a room. Perhaps it’s the friend whose presence feels effortlessly like “her.”
But when we look at ourselves, we often focus on what we dislike, what we need to fix.
The things we’re drawn to aren’t random. A colour we love, a piece of clothing we reach for all the time, an image we’ve saved, they all have meaning. Our preferences paint a portrait of who we are.
The more we understand why we love what we love, the more we understand ourselves.
And when we understand ourselves, we know exactly what we want.
